Suzanne Jaeger (Class of 1979) won IHSA state singles championships in girls tennis in 1976, 1977 and 1978, becoming the first female to win three consecutive state tennis titles. The only loss of her high school career occurred in the state semifinals during her senior season in 1979, in which she finished third. Suzie went on to play for Stanford University, where she was a four-time letter-winner and was a member of the Cardinal’s NCAA championship teams in 1982 and 1984. She made appearances at Wimbledon and the U.S. Open during her professional career.
