Judy Harwood is the most successful Girls’ Gymnastics Coach in Stevenson history. She continues to enjoy a coaching career with the Patriots that spans three decades. Hired in 1990 to lead the program, her teams have won nineteen IHSA Regional titles and ten IHSA Sectional titles to-date. She has also been privileged to coach five state championship teams (2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2009) and three runner-up teams (1997, 2008, 2012). In addition, she has coached over 80 individual state qualifiers and five individual state champions.
She is a nationally ranked gymnastics judge and was named 2004 Judge of the Year by the National Association of Women’s Gymnastics Judges. She continues to judge Junior Olympic age group gymnastics meets and NCAA competitions.
