Courtney DeBolt Slinko (Class of 1992) was a captain of the 1990 and 1991 girls volleyball teams that went 71-8 and advanced to the I.H.S.A. Quarterfinals. She helped lead Stevenson to its first IHSA Girl's Volleyball Supersectional title and State Tournament appearance as a junior and a senior. In 1991, she was named to the All-State and All-American Volleyball teams. She continued her volleyball career at Michigan State University, where she was a 4-year letterwinner, In 1995, she received All-Big Ten and All-American honors as MSU advanced to the NCAA Final Four. Following her collegiate career, Courtney played professionally in the Netherlands and trained with the U.S. National Volleyball Team in Colorado Springs before an injury prevented her from making the 2000 Olympics. Courtney served as the Assistant Volleyball Coach at Marquette University from 1999-2002. She has also coached high school volleyball for Buffalo Grove H.S. (2003-2006) and Cary-Grove H.S. (2006-2009). She is currently the Technical Director for the VC United Volleyball Club.
